University of Wales Bangor

Neuroscience foundations; human tests using TMS with a focus on interaction.

University of Wales Bangor has one of the largest departments of psychology in Europe, and one of only 7 to gain a maximum rating in the British research assessment exercise. The Institute has excellent staff and facilities for research in Clinical Neurology and in Cognitive Neuroscience. Facilities include 3 EEG laboratories, a 3T research-dedicated MRI on site (and access to a 1.5T machine for studies in hospital-bound clinical populations), extensive testing suits for psychophysics and sensorimotor control (including eye and limb motion tracking systems), and an established database of more than 100 patients with defined neurological lesions available for research.

HIVE is supported by the European Commission under the Future and Emerging Technologies program.
